Yup. I had one recently too - she dropped a link with instructions for me to read it, clap and comment on it. I did look at her story. It had thousands of claps and complimentary comments. I couldn't understand why, because it was a pile of tosh! Perhaps it was people like me following instructions. Or perhaps it was good, but not to my taste. Either way, this is bad behaviour. If someone has something sensible to say, that adds to to the conversation, and they have a related article that adds another perspective, I don't mind this, but honestly. The 'I read your story, now you read mine' instruction, is just appalling! Trouble is, we're too nice. We don't want to be mean, so we go an have a look. And when enough people do that, and do what they're told, it has the effect of making a story go viral.... even when it's a pile of incomprehensible crap. Perhaps I'll ignore the next one.
