You were involved in a kind of continuous improvement thing. That doesn't sound like bullshit to me. I mean, the new guy might have been able to modernise or improve upon your perfection, but it's all subjective and in a changing world, continuous improvement is what businesses want, isn't it. I suspect your job was deemed very worthwhile and improved a lot of processes.

Is mine a bullshit job? I don't know - freelance writer. I like to think not, but then so many magazines have gone out of print, it's not a growing industry with great opportunities. Not unless you find a growing sector in a different area of publishing anyway.
