You shouldn't have closed your old account. They are no longer monetising non-US accounts. It's in their terms, updated recently. I scraped in at the end and am monetised. But sadly, your 84k hit won't be eligible, unless they make an exception, which seems unlikely. Why did you close your old account? Taking a break is one thing, but walking away completely and starting again! You're mad!
