You could surely be a freelance writer Gerald? I mean, yes it's hard work pitching, but if you can get some clients, it can grow. It might not pay as much as you'd like, but you can work on that, and right now you're writing for free, so it'd be a step up from that. Then you can still work in a way that suits you and take breaks whenever you need to.

I write for magazines, but some people write for marketing agencies and all sorts, which I think pays better, to be honest.
