Yes, that's an interesting idea. I used to do a lot of short stories highlighting the value of older reads and they virtually never got more eyes on those stories. Whereas republishing is a whole lot more successful. Sometimes - not always. But then, perhaps, as you suggest, it should begin with 'updated from *date*' or something, so that people know it's been aired before.

Saying that, I do still recommend older stories at the foot of all my new ones and occasionally I'll still write one promoting a story that flopped.

It might simply be that a lot of the stories that don't do well aren't right for the platform. I'm starting to learn that too.
