Yes, I've done a lot of analysis and am pretty sure the biggest issue is how often a reader reads your stories. 1 or 2 cents indicates a regular reader, who probably reads a lot on the site. 87 cents in one read indicates someone who probably doesn't read very much and has maybe never read your work before.
