Yes, it was OK, but getting anywhere in my career was always a struggle. That opened my eyes to what part of the problem might have been. There was a time when I felt quite depressed about it, because it was like from 20-50 you're too fertile and from 50+ you're too old. BUT anyway, I did claw my way up the ranks a bit and now I'm self-employed and wouldn't have it any other way, so it worked out fine.

And obviously some younger women do stunningly well, despite these attitudes, so it's possible!
