Yes, I was reading about that this morning, how the vaccines are pretty much ineffective against becoming infected with one of the newer strains, but they're still thought to protect against severe disease.

Covid numbers in hospital have doubled in the last month and gone up by 34% in a week. But with vaccination and better treatments, there aren't as many people on ventilators as there were at one point.

I'm avoiding everyone and if I have to go into an indoor populated place, I wear a mask. But I try not to go into these places at all.

The Asda delivery man thinks we're mad because I asked him to stand back while I took our delivery out of the crates.

Someone on here was saying the numbers were down and it was just like a seasonal infection now. I don't know where that came from, because in the UK, our numbers are rising fast and there's nothing seasonal about it. I didn't argue.
