Yes, I think I'd try to blame the AI company if they're offering a copyright free status, and it turns out to be untrue, or disputed. It looks a lot like the companies who've banned AI images aren't convinced, and I'm not sure I am either. It's a shame though, because I could have immense fun playing around with these programs!
