Yes, I started locally and expanded. After 13 years, I have to admit, I'm running a bit thin on new ideas, and am starting to think about revisiting old ones, but the market has changed so much. There are fewer magazines and less demand for freelance journalists. This story was a strong one from the start though. I did some different takes on it for different markets. The research was really emotional.
