Yes, I can see that point of view. I don't know how accurate the 1% is, but it could be representative of the types of writers who pen the stuff considered most boostable, whereas 99% do not.

I did get a boost a couple of days ago. It was my first in 5 months, so I don't consider myself a regular boosted writer, although I'd love to be and I try to follow the guidelines - usually to no effect.

I think the type of writing is key - I think, ideally, they're looking for in-depth reporting, with elements of both researched facts and personal experience. That almost certainly knocks out more than 99% of stories on here.
