Yep. I had a brilliant Halloween piece, but the publisher took 10 days to publish. I'm left wondering whether, if I'd sent it to a smaller publication, who published quickly, would it have got more reads. Because now we're into November, it feels out of date. And published earlier, it could have been topical for another full ten days.
