Yeah, the generics only come available once the patent owned by the pharma company has expired. So they have years to maximise profits before anyone else can make generic copies, and then it's a free for all and the price comes right down.

Yes, it would be nice to pay all medics what they want, but tricky when the economy can't really afford it. I feel there must be other areas where savings can be made, but there will always be people who disagree with me on exactly where!
