Yeah, I see what you mean. That's probably where niche publications are stronger... except that one piece in New Writers Welcome has just done quite well. I nearly sent it to a mental health publication, but then thought at the last minute NWW are boost nommers, so I'll give them a chance. Not been boosted at the moment, but did quite well anyway.
