Writers might be considered volunteers too, when the money they earn is often cents for their best stories. We all need each other. Editors get paid for boosted stories. I don't want to see more money diverted to editors at the expense of writers. I thought this was going to be a list of Medium improvements that I could buy into! 😄

Saying that, it did cross my mind once that free membership for editors would be nice — that was when I was running my first publication, worrying about copyright issues, and found it a load of hassle.

The language thing definitely needs doing though.

BTW, if you want free membership, why not just downgrade and save $100 a year? Because if you get free membership, writers won’t be paid for your reads at all. There’s a middle ground.
