Wow. That is one heck of a rollercoaster. Ok. I'm going to share mine here too. It'll be interesting because I don't have the same time to engage as you do, and it's that aspect that made me curious about your earnings - the question about what if I spent all day on medium - the what if I did it full time?

In July I made $142, August $605, Sept $240, Oct $99.

This says to me that your engagement doesn't make that much difference to earnings. Some engagement helps, sure, and it keeps the community spirit alive and helps us all enjoy the platform, but it's not worth me going full time on Medium, based on the differences between your figures and mine.

In August, I wasn't even here half the time. I was on holiday without internet access for ten days in August (although I did get on briefly for 2 days) and I was away for 10 days in early September.

I don't know why my September earnings were so bad compared to other people who did well in September, yourself included. I guess my 10 day absence didn't help. Views do visibly go down when I can't engage because I'm offline.

But it's interesting to see that most of the time, my modest attempts at reading and engaging are sufficient to keep earnings on a similar level to yours, even though I don't have the same hours to dedicate to reading.
