When I got a tentative diagnosis of meniscus tear, I watched videos and they all said squats are terrible for someone with a meniscus tear. If that's what it is, it's not a question of weight or fitness. It's just that they're not suitable with that kind of injury.

I'm sure for someone without injury, they are fine.
