We'll use our car until it's dead then see what's on offer in the second hand market. We are keen to go electric, and keen to tow our caravan with electric. But there's a very limited range of electric vehicles that can tow at the moment. The charging points could be rolled out, like they rolled out emergency measures during the pandemic if the government really treated this like the climate emergency it is. So, the infrastructure could be put in place if it was treated with sufficient importance.
I won't upgrade to a new car though - we always buy second hand and use things until they are fit for the bin or recycling. But I am keen on electric.
We need to make enough renewable electricity, so that when people to transition to electric there's enough fuel without burning fossil fuels to create electricity. That's another challenge.
