I have occasionally pointed out typos to other people, if I think a writer will want to fix it. I appreciate knowing if I've got a typo in my work. I like to fix things.

However, I didn't much like it when someone insisted that my choice of word didn't exist because it had been removed from the dictionary. He was quite persistent about it and annoying.
