Well, at the start I shared the optimism of the researchers. Now I'm not so sure. I hope we can power the world sustainably. There are cases of poor communities skipping fossil fuels and having solar panels on mud huts. I guess there's some initiative somewhere that makes that happen. Nuclear power in Africa doesn't sound like a good idea. I'm thinking ahead to when they realise the cost and implications of decommissioning.... and don't have the money.
