Very well said, but an unpopular opinion on here. Some people follow thousands, and people sometimes consider those who don't follow everyone back to be 'not supporting other writers'.

Saying that, one guy who follows 49k people seems to be doing rather well, so I have wondered whether this awful approach actually pays back. I'd rather have engaged followers any time.
