To be honest, the lack of communication after you retired, I think that's pretty normal - in society if not in the church. Once you leave an organisation, I wouldn't expect them to get back in touch. I expect they think you'd want to be left alone to enjoy your retirement in peace.

As for the other stuff, well, the bureaucracy sounds frustrating. The celibate married priests... I don't know. At the risk of imparting too much information, I'm celibate and married. It's possible.
