To be fair, I think the grumpy articles often do quite well, so aren't always a waste of time, and Paul's been steadily rising, so has nothing to feel peeved about.

I like to write on different topics, but there's also merit in doing more of what works, which might mean you end up with a number of niches. Or none at all.
