This sounds bad. I was surprised to get to the end and find that you had a psychiatrist because I'd expect them to be able to tell you what's going on. I have autistic traits and can totally relate to it taking days to get over an ordeal, but your experience is very extreme. If you've not been diagnosed with autism, it sounds to me like it could be autism, but then you'd have been autistic for life, so it's odd that it's happening now. If you have been diagnosed with autism, it's probably a bad spell. I hope you find something that helps. I wish I could say something more useful. I can understand your worries about hospital. I wonder if they'd give you a room to yourself, so you're not overstimulated all the time.
