This reminds me of a lady I employed once in an office job at a local college. She was more trouble than she was worth. It was taking me more time to manage her than she was contributing in usefulness. I'd taken a chance on her because she presented well at interview, but not one of the references she provided responded to our reference requests. I wish I'd seen the alarm bells, when no one was prepared to give her a reference.
