This. It's totally subjective. My boosted pieces weren't my best pieces. They weren't in depth. They didn't take long to write. The best pieces that tick all the boxes don't even get read by boost nominators - I presume this because they don't engage at all, even when I send something boost-worthy to their publications. It's frustrating.

Giving up is probably the best approach. I'd given up and then got a few nice surprises - things that had flopped previous years got boosted. Who knew! No one liked them in 2022.
