This is interesting. I'm not sure I quite understand the logic of the 2nd one. It could have been literally anything - including a desire to take back control, but pretty rubbish after you'd done all that work!

The others are more obviously driven by race issues. So sorry to hear this. I'm glad you're not bitter about it and try to be understanding of whatever people's life experiences might be. I'd have thought that's a good approach for your own mental health, but I'm also really glad that your colleagues stick up for you in these situations.
