This all happened before I was born, so I have no recollections - obviously. But it does remind me of the time when Princess Diana died here in the UK. She was all over the papers, then one Sunday, when I came back from church, the news said she was dead. I couldn't believe it. I wasn't a huge fan, but I didn't dislike her. She was just part of life, and then she wasn't. Aged 40-odd. I cried, which was an unexpected emotion, because I didn't think I was even that keen on her, but you know... I didn't want that to happen to her.
How did the death of the president make you feel? It sounded like it didn't have much emotional impact at the time.
