They should just limit the comments to 50 a day which would give everyone ample opportunity to be moderately engaged, and would probably mean I'd hit the buffers some days too. But that's fine. More time for me to buzz off and do something else.
If they feel some writers are trying to pressure others into reciprocal reading, this would nip their reach in the bud quite effectively. There have been times I've felt pressured to read things I didn't want to read due to other people's slightly stalkerish behaviour, but I've never felt that from you.
I generally resist trying to read everyone who reads me, because it's exhausting just trying to keep up with engagement I've got, while trying to read what I want.
And somewhere in the midst of all that, I'm supposed to have a full-time job, which has become sorely neglected!
I always hoped Medium would make up the difference, and even wondered if I should try the high level engagement approach to up my returns, but this suggests maybe not! Apart from which, I'm already exhausted.
If I were to become a boost nominator, that could change things and justify more hours, but it's not looking promising at the moment.
