There's a website called Contently, which I signed up to. They're a bit like the one you've been using, but they have other jobs, and the freelancers have to pass a test to be allowed to apply, so there may be less competition. I never got round to doing the test, but if you're OK about a shit rate of pay for the test, it could be another avenue to explore.
