The rules have changed. As long as it's not on Medium anymore, you can put it back onto Medium. Some editors remain confused about this, possibly because they've come across out of date stories (the irony) - but there's nothing wrong with posting stories again to give them a new date, as long as you delete the original. My haunted house story (pinned) is on its second round.
