The GPS navigation is great. My husband says when he retires from work, he'd like to get one because of the GPS. It's helped us out when we're lost before. Lost in Rendelsham forest on foot in a heatwave. And lost in the car. That might be a reason to get one. I have a separate MP3 player, which I love. 😄 Oh, and occasionally, I do take my crappy old 20 year pay-as-you-go if I need a watch. So I'm a lot like you, in the sense that these things are useful.
