The boosted story is paid in unknown multiples of whatever the usual rate is. So basically, you get a bit more per read. But how much is unknown, and they literally just reduced it a few days ago.

People's favourite stories lists are sometimes just people highlighting stories that they feel are good and supporting one another.

People who have 100 favourite stories, or overdo it - even 10 is too many in my opinion - are just taking the piss.

I ask for them to stop because the tagging is annoying and no one cares to be recommended 100 stories. It's just an exercise in getting 100 people to read their paywalled story, so they get well paid.

For repeat offenders on the 100 stories (or just loads) I ask them not to tag me, then ignore them, then block them if all that fails.
