The article makes good points. My issue mainly, is I sell reprints to magazines, and sometimes I reuse extracts of old articles in brand new pieces.

All while I control whether or not this stuff is online, I can do that and monetise it. Once someone else controls whether or not my stuff is online, I cannot. It takes away an income source, because no one wants reprints that are online.

Besides which, the one I've been issuing take down notices for recently earnt 27 cents in 6 months! NOT WORTH IT! I'm getting it removed and then offering it to a magazine who'll give me £80 if they like it.

So decided I need to write different stuff for Medium to what I sell to magazines. It's a totally different market.

Also, interestingly, my Meditation stories did shit, because they're science based whereas yours are experience based... and someone dropped into my comments to say they'd be more interested in what I experienced.

Some people on here say, 'no one wants to hear about you' - but actually, I think they *do* want personal stories. More so than the traditional press, who *really* couldn't care less about what I think on anything!
