The algorithm is automated and often recommends articles that are out of date. I've been recommended ones that are years out of date. I haven't deleted it because it's still interesting to some people, who might like to know what's been happening recently. I've never suggested that the majority of us would be eligible for this. It was always a select few. That's not to say the trial was not useful.

They make roll out a different kind of reward system that might include more writers. That's what they've done before.

I expect the algorithm will drop it soon.
