That's interesting and weird. I swear when I joined they said that if you'd self published, you could not delete and offer a draft to a publication. I saw this lots of places, complete with explanations - because Medium had a way of remembering stuff, even once it's deleted.

Then I noticed lots of publications saying they would accept previously published works if you deleted them and submitted drafts. So I was confused. Thanks for looking into it. I have recently been trying to promote old stories using shortform posts.
