Thanks Tony, I can understand people not wanting to scroll mid-paragraph. I will certainly try to watch that my paragraphs don’t get too long.

I find the ‘new sentence = new paragraph’ approach sometimes goes too far the other way, but I have seen some news outlets do it. I think they usually have a little less white space between paragraphs, so it doesn’t look so awful on a big screen.

Interesting topic. I’d love to know the split of readers on a smartphone, but perhaps that information is hard to glean, because you won’t necessarily measure who’s writing and who’s reading on different devices.
