Take care of yourself and try to focus on positives as much as you can. I'd read that the vaccines start to wane in effectiveness after 2 months. I thought they continued to provide some protection against severe disease, even after 6 months.

It doesn't fall from 95% to zero - it's a slow decline in protection, during which time you're still allegedly protected from hospitalisation. This, for the UK government, seems to be all they care about. It might have been worse if you didn't have the jab. Well done for doing the right thing.

Also, the vaccines provide little if any protection against actually contracting the new variants of Omicron, because they’re designed for the original strain and these strains are more infectious and evade the vaccine immunity better. My understanding is that they pretty much only protect against severe disease.

I've had breathing difficulties since the Moderna booster, so I won't be getting another. Blasted covid. Total nightmare. I hope you feel brighter soon.
