Sounds like a nightmare. I'd just get my own food, I think. I'm fussy. Want vegan. And cheap. We got ripped off by a taxi driver in the Gambia. Should have just refused to go, but it was tricky. The rest of the people in our hotel were leaving to view another one. If we didn't join them, we'd have been left on our own (the only people in this big hotel), which felt uncomfortable. So we went along with them to see the other one. They organised the taxi and agreed to the first price the driver quoted! We had to pay our share. If it was just me, I'd have said no. Anyway, we decided to stay at our hotel, and it was a waste of money.
