Sorry to laugh at a totally inappropriate time, but this reminded me of the time when I wondered if our guinea pigs were REALLY THAT STUPID. One of my guinea pigs had died, and because they're boys, they're hard to find another pal. They fight. I asked the rehoming lady whether she had another guinea pig that 'looked like Harry' - wondering if Rodney would be fooled by the look alike. "What does he look like?" she asked. He was white. Alas she didn't have any white guinea pigs looking for homes and Rodney spent the rest of his life cursing me for being shit company. I suspect he wouldn't have been fooled by a white intruder anyway, but I was willing to give it a go! 🤣
