Some publications publish quickly, and you can always self-publish. It's hard to say whether using publications helps significantly with visibility, but I think it must help a bit.

It is nice to earn, but I think it's better if you see it as a hobby, not a part of your job, and that's where I have a bit of a problem and probably spend too much time on here.

Trouble is, I'm doing it in working hours and in my free time. And not sure that's a good thing.
