"Should I share a related anecdote, or will it sound like I’m trying to make it all about me?"

I share related anecdotes and often wonder about this, but I so far I think people have realised I'm just engaged in the conversation and not trying to steal their show!

With regards to the highlights - I found out that we don't all see all highlights. So don't worry about it. Just because you see a bit is highlighted, doesn't mean everyone else will see what you see. We only see markings from those people we follow. So it might look a big red mess to the writer, but to individual readers, it depends on who they follow.
