Respect to you Jenny, for pointing this out. I am merely passing on what I've found helpful in my own life. But it has taken years to make the shift. And probably in the depths of my own depression, I may have felt this way too. It's certainly not intended to invalidate anyone's feelings.

It's only looking back on things that I can see how trying to find a sense of perspective helped me, but yes, I do understand your point. And it's easier to find that positive outlook when your circumstances and support network are conducive to that.

The story hasn't done well, and perhaps this is why. I guess I'm probably also talking about people like me, for whom a positive outlook might be helpful. It might not be helpful for everyone. Thanks for your comments.
