Really great story Rodrigo. I had a friend who I wouldn't say has exactly ghosted me, but it's just been hopeless and I've given up. After she had a kid, she complained whenever I called because the phone would wake the child. So I emailed and she ignored the email. This was why I phoned. I mean this is a once or twice a year event. I wasn't stalking her or anything. Anyway, she talked about ideas for a get together but would never commit to anything, and in the end would always invite us to spend her half hour lunch break with her, instead of a proper social.

When I say 'always', I mean perhaps once every couple of years.

Anyway, I think the bottom line was she didn't want to spend time with me, and didn't want to hear from me, and when Christmas correspondence was ignored, I eventually gave up. Maybe I'll see her again one day. Maybe not. But it just felt like she wasn't interested, despite a 30 year friendship, like yours. We were best mates once.
