Oh dear. They should have had an honest but diplomatic conversation with you before you left your home! Long before. I can understand them not wanting mum moving in on their adventure. If I moved to Scotland and mum moved down the road not knowing anyone, I might not be thrilled. But they should have said how they felt. Communication is important. Unless your daughter wanted it and he didn't. Then he just sounds like a nasty piece of work. Son in law from hell.
