Not sure I dare comment, but I relate. It was HARD! I too, had a paper round as soon as it was legal, earning £2 a week. I too, had some awful jobs on terrible pay, and couldn't even afford to rent a room in a shared house. The minimum wage today is actually quite decent. There wasn't a minimum wage when I was young. I actually think opportunities today are excellent. But you have to put the work in, to get the results.
