No, the situation has got worse. That's why I pinned the article. It may be two years old, but it really tells the story of what's happening so well. BBC Countryfile, a regular client, cut the pages I used to contribute to a few months ago. Another one bites the dust.

The submission process is the same for print and web - I send print stuff by email too. But I've found it virtually impossible to break into online markets. I think the audience is younger and I don't have the right stories for the online audiences in the magazine space.

And I suspect in the specialist markets they may not pay or want someone more expert than me. I'm not sure.

I used to get away with finding experts to interview on all sorts of subjects, but so many doors have closed.
