Most of them are are not in boosting publications, and nominators are supposed to be selecting from within their pubs. It's a hunch, but I'm fairly confident that is what's happened. They were Halloween and Christmas, when the staff were searching for topical things to boost.

I had one that was boosted from within a boosting publication last April and I suspect the editor was responsible for that, and one (recently) where I know the editor was responsible, because I dropped my draft and said do you want to boost this - because if not, I'll try somewhere else. LOL

He did.
