Maybe this is why I spend my life hiding. I also think most people are decent human beings and I try to see the best in people. That's not a bad quality. Don't lose it altogether, because the trouble with working on the assumption that most people are arseholes, is that people jump to conclusions about people who are nice and decent - wrong conclusions.

I've been on the end of some pretty nasty judgement at times. It came from nowhere. Just someone assuming the worst.

Don't be a doormat, but equally, there's something nice about people who give others the benefit of the doubt. It's also less stressful than getting pissed off because you think most people are arseholes. Thinking they’re just an idiot and they didn’t mean it is better sometimes.

Most people don't understand me. My sister thinks I’m mildly autistic. Maybe I am. Now I'm doing what you've been doing - putting it on myself. But I honestly don't think most people are arseholes.

Some are, for sure. A lot of egos out there... and I think society is getting worse.

But you know what, that time in Scotland, in isolation, when I read that, I was a little bit envious - wish I'd done it when I was young. I admire that you did that. I wish I'd had the confidence at your age. It sounded amazing. Relish the experience. :)
