I've seen people have a series of articles using images taken from a magazine's website (and linked back to it as the source), other people's instagrams, etc, and I wonder whether licences/permissions were acquired. I suspect not. It's certainly a risky approach, but it seems to pay off for some people, in that these articles are going viral.
